My Passionfruit Vine

I am no gardener. I would love to have a great looing garden and envy my neighbours prowess and growing exotic fruits and flowers,

This is one of my attempts at growing something, anything. This is a passionfruit plant that I have been tenderly caring for. It is now about 12 months on and it doesn't seem to want to grow beyond this stunted bush.

I thought by now it would have sent out tendrils and be curling it's way along the fence, but no, it just seems to be happy to sit there.

I brought some watering plugs from the United States, and I am very impressed with them. I can fill up a bottle with water and push the bottle into the plug and the water trickles out to keep the plant watered.

I have just brought a mini greenhouse where I am now going to attempt to grow some herbs.

Hi there - nice catching up with you both recently. Your passion fruit vine maybe 'dead' by now. They require plenty of food in the way of compost/seaweed etc. They seem to thrive on tea leaves as well so that comes under compost I suppose. Don't give up! Try again but this time plant in well worked and well manured soil - and yes they need plenty of water as well so you may be 'stuck' for that - just thought it would be fun to respond to your blog - Best wishes to you both J

Thanks J we will give your advice a try.

Val isn't much into gardening and the soil here in Tara is just sand and grit, but we will persevere and hopefully get some stuff growing eventually.

It was great to catch up we realy enjoyed hearing about what everyone is up to these days.
